New Mercedes 500 has arrived
November the 14th saw the arrival of two new coaches one
a MAN 15 280 (coach 79) the other being the Mercedes 500 (coach 80) the first of this model to
arrive in New Zealand.
|
Coach 79 turned many heads when she arrived at Tauranga
wharf on a gloriously sunny November 14th. Decked out in the new
Connections blue livery which matched the clear blue Bay of Plenty sky
she was a real stunner.
Coach 79 had little time to recover from the sea
journey she was out working in two days. |
| Coach 80 arrived on the 14th, her cabin mates being a crane
and a truck (the Beauty and the Beasts).
|

Garry is the driver for
coach 80 and he
and Dave
are impressed with her
luxuriousness and superb
road handling.
|
| She
never makes a sound and moves effortlessly through crowded city streets while
passengers can relax and enjoy an unobstructed view through wide
panoramic windows of the local scenery.

|
All seats have quality leather headrests and seat belts. The
aisle is wide and easy to negotiate.
|
| In keeping to our high safety standard the Mercedes 500 is
fitted with a comprehensive first aid kit which is easily accessed in a drop
down hatch above the driver. A display system, the same as used
in airliners, illuminates to show toilet occupancy. With Garry comfortably in the drivers seat Coach 80
has started on her travels throughout NewZealand showing international
visitors the most beautiful sights in the safest and most comfortable of
environments - the Mercedes 500.
